Jane Inskeep has been helping customers at Charter Bank for over 21 years. As a Universal Banker, she assists Waukee customers with opening accounts, enrollment in Online Banking and any other questions or issues they many have, and assists the Loan Officers with various loan duties.
Jane grew up in Albert Lea, MN and Clinton, IA. She graduated from Clinton High School and went on to the University of Northern Iowa where she received a BA in Administrative Management. Her first job out of college was as a Teller with a Savings and Loan in Clinton, but when her husband was transferred to the Des Moines area, she took a job with Midland Financial Savings and Loan as a New Accounts Representative. Midland eventually became AmerUS Bank where she had the opportunity to take a position in their new centralized call center. She left the banking world for a bit until her son was in 1st grade. When she started working again, it was with Charter Bank at the Johnston location; she worked in Grimes for a short time and then moved to the Waukee location when it opened in 2001, and has been with the Bank ever since.
When Jane was in college, she spent one semester her sophomore year attending Boise State University as part of a student exchange program. She hopped on a Greyhound bus in Iowa City with a college friend and off they went.
While she’s not at the Bank, Jane likes spending time with her 9-month-old grandson, her two grown children and husband. That’s why her favorite thing on her desk is a photo of her grandson. She also enjoys reading, playing the piano and watching college sports, but, she’s also a long-time and loyal Minnesota Vikings fan. Tennis is something she also does for fun and she enjoys following all of the major tennis tournaments.
Jane is always willing to help whenever she can, greets everyone with a smile and makes them feel at home. What does Jane enjoy most about working for Charter Bank? She said, “Helping people understand their different banking options, getting to know customers and their families and being part of the community where I live.”
